Our research explores the design, regulation, and policy development of electricity markets in China and across the globe. Through independent and objective analysis, we offer policy recommendations on various cutting-edge challenges related to the design of electricity markets in China.

The research methods employed are rooted in power system economics and include appropriate levels of engineering detail to address real-world market design questions. Models developed include unit commitment and economic dispatch, load simulation, and capacity expansion. Model inputs are built from a wide variety of open sources, such as publicly available generator information, geospatial data, and satellite-derived renewable energy potential.
